POSTURE (Shulabh Asana) which is the 1st Practice

Instructions before you Start
To Do Yoga in the morning is recommended as you are fresh and the spirits are high. But it is much easier to practice Yoga in the evening when you come from work empty stomach. Because it will take away your tiredness with few postures.
As the name shows during this asana you will lift your lower body upwards while lying on your front, that's why it is called Shulabh Asana or Locust as you look like one.

1. Lay flat on your tummy while your chin on the floor and your hands by your sides palms facing upwards. Stay in this position so that your breathing becomes normal.
2. Now you pick your face up still your chin touching the floor, breath in and lift your legs up while keeping them as much straight as possible. Now your hands, arms and chest is bearing all the weight and pressure. Stay in this position for two to three seconds initially, then increase your timing according to your endurance. Just do it twice initially then you can increase it to five to seven times accordingly.
3. After completing this Asana go to Sev Asana and rest for a while to go for the next Asana.
Benefits: This Asana gives a lot of stress on the lower extremities of the body and legs. So doing it regularly shapes your legs beautifully. It has a significant effect on liver because as you lifts your legs up, blood flushes out of the liver(storage of blood), thus gives liver new vitality. I(t is also thought to be good to help in Diabetes due its effect on pancreas. Also makes your lungs strong and healthy.
