This asana should be performed after every three to five chakra(attempts) of a particular Asana. It is a simple position to lay still on your back in very much relaxed position. The reason is to give your body a complete rest after a complete stretch in a certain Asana also to give it a bit of rest so that blood supply becomes normal again to get you body ready for the next posture or Asana.
During this posture try to concentrate into your body instead of thinking about the outer world.
Lay Flat on the floor leaving your every body organ in a relaxed position. Laying your arms by the side of your body while palms of the hands facing upwards. You always breath normally in Sev Asana your eyes closed and your concentration inside yourself.
Benefits: When you lay flat in this Asana keep thinking about your body. Just visualise that your whole body is in front of of you and repeat in your mind that your body is getting relaxed and worry free from the problems of this world. You can live in this Asana for 15-30 minutes relaxing. This Asana is very beneficial for the heart and blood pressure patients. It is very good to get your blood pressure down to normal. Pregnant women can do this Asana.
Problems
In Practice: Well there is problem in doing this Asna. This can
be done by any one. Especially recommended to pregnant women. It slows down
the heart rate and takes you to complete relaxation stage. I would suggest to
keep your thoughts inside your body when you do this. What I do is that I think
of an energy beam light coming from sky which strikes my forehead and then from
there it is showered to whole body. If anyone had a pain just point this energy
beam light to that point and it will be relieved.
This Yogic Exercise is thought to be the best best Asana especially for people suffering from heart conditions, it is a natural medicine, so do it for 15 to 20 minutes everyday.
