I will talk about Hatha Yoga which mainly comprises of Physical exercises, postures, Asana, Pranayama (breathing exercises). As this web site at the moment is related to Hatha Yoga only so we will discuss only this branch of Yoga.

Now first of all About Asana: Well different Asana Help you in stretching your muscles and joints and then relaxing them in a very special manner. When a muscle stretches and then relaxes it automatically draws fresh blood full of Oxygen from the reserves (liver is the main storage of the body). Thus supplying fresh Oxygenated Blood to the body tissues and cells. Just take a layman example: If water flows through a hose continuously at the same pace it will start giving its inner walls different deposits like Fungi etc. But a fast flow of water through this few times in a week will not let these deposits gather inside. Such is the case while doing Yoga. It helps to regulate oxygenated blood supply to the cells.

Bandhana help you to shorten supply in some organs and increase supply in others thus rejuvenating them with good supply of fresh oxygenated blood. Secondly in Bandana and Asana your joints are stretched to there limits and help you increase in flexibility of the joints while flushing them with rush of blood. This thing actually gives the body joints a new life thus preventing them from wear and tear. This is an real help in falling into the problems like arthritis in old age.

Flexibility: Why flexibility is important? Now take another layman example: As someone grows old , with the passage of time there is wear and tear of joints due to the brittleness of the bones. Joints become more stiff at old age as you must have seen old people with there backbone stiff and bowed to the front. This is due to the stiffness of joints of the spine(backbone). In Yoga it is thought to be the best concept that Yoga keeps you younger. The only reason for this is the flexibility ( as you may have noticed kids have more flexibility as they can band themselves with ease ) . So flexibility means Youth. But how it can be achieved. Well it needs a bit of your determination and consideration and you are then on the road to Good Health which you will really enjoy. Yoga will give you all this with full content.
